If there’s one thing Bali does well – and it does many – it’s magnificent resort pools.

Pictured here from top, clockwise, are the ocean front pool at The Mulia in Nusa Dua, for the exlusive use of suite and villa guests.

The St Regis Bali Resort has a network of secluded lagoon and swim-out pools. Yes, I dropped in to one from a beach and came out so far away I needed help to find my way back to my room.

There are seven pools at The Laguna Spa and Resort, including an outer one that use salt water. Many of the rooms offer the ability to swim out.

The Meru Sanur shares this beachfront pool with the Bali Beach Resort but also has its own secluded pool.
